Teenagers have been called the missing link. They dress differently; listen to certain kinds of music. Adolescence is a turbulent period but it is also a period of adventure and excitement. There are problems to face and difficulties to overcome; there is fun and enjoyment to be had. Adolescents do not want orders but advice they do not need rules but guidelines. It is the stage between childhood and adulthood. It is leaving the protection of parents and family of childhood and heading out into the world. It is not an easy being a teenager. You are not fully enjoying the comforts of childhood; you are in a process of making decisions that will affect your life long term.

Adam was likely a bit lonely before meeting his bride, but God wanted enough time to cause his heart to yearn for Mrs. Adam must have been so excited when his princess finally came! But dare I make a suggestion to God? Maybe, just maybe, it could have been wise for God to create Eve and place her on the opposite side of the garden for a while before presenting her to Adam.
It could have prepared her to have stronger faith as a wife and to ignore the serpent’s mind games! Spending single time to fix our focus on Jesus works wonders for our future marriages. Once Jesus has become 1 and 2 and 3 and 4 in our lives, He’ll finally know we’re ready for the man He’s prepared.
The Austin Stone – Sermons
Whilst I was exhibiting at the Christian Resources Exhibition CRE last year , I was very surprised to hear many of the clergy I met say that they had very few single people in their congregations. Singleness was not a problem in their parish. They told me that their churches are full of married couples, families and the elderly and very few single people. As a result few of them thought there was any need to give time to the issues of singleness from the pulpit.
How can we enjoy our singleness without wasting it? Over the years We Christians are so awkward with dating advice, aren’t we? If you find.
I have to say that being single in the church world can be one of the hardest roads to walk. I find that it can be almost impossible to navigate the expectations of people in the church about marriage — either married or single. It seems that the married people forget the singles, and the singles get angry and hurt. Both are wrong, and both are impacting the culture of the church in ways that affect it eternally. The impact of all this goes on how we see everyone in the church.
Having said all that, I have chosen to serve in the church because I love the church. God has called me, and that is my strength and hope. I believe there are issues no matter where you are, and as long as you deal with people, you will deal with messy things. I believe that each person has a responsibility and choice about how they react and live this life. Do you listen to God, or do you listen to people and a culture?

By no means do I have all the answers to singleness, but I am well aware of the struggles and difficulties and blessings that singleness brings. How can we enjoy our singleness without wasting it? Grumbling is not going to suddenly bring Prince Charming or, as in my case, Princess Jasmine to your side. Plus, grumbling leads to bitterness, which is unattractive. Instead of grumbling that you are single and wish you weren’t, make it a habit to recount the blessings the Lord has bestowed on you, all of which are undeserved.
To a similar degree as the truth about marriage, the truth about singleness has become tangled and twisted for Christians today. The Church has become alarmingly prone to borrowing its view of singleness from the surrounding world, and the distinctions between dating and marriage have become blurred, if not altogether lost. If we are to escape this confusion and live out God-honoring singleness, we must be directed by Biblical truth about marriage and the wisdom offered by those who have gone before us.
Right from the beginning, we can begin to draw lines between a marriage and dating relationships between singles. In a marriage, a man and a woman become one in the eyes of God and then live out that oneness in tangible ways. In a dating relationship, oneness cannot be a goal because it does not reflect the ultimate reality of this relationship. Neither is intimacy the goal of a dating relationship. All varieties of intimacy are merely a reflection of the oneness that is meant to exist in a marriage relationship, making intimacy a goal exclusive to marriage.
A deep, abiding, and heartfelt attachment is not meant to be found outside of marriage.
